Warm light gathers between strips of wood. Flexed to the brink then fixed into an organic sphere inspired by sandcombed shells, our Urchin Lighting Range brings atmosphere in abundance.

Inspired by shells found scattering the shorelines of Cornish beaches surrounding the Tom Raffield studio, the Urchin Small Flush Ceiling Light softly illuminates space with pools of brightness. Featuring an arching shade of 32 sustainably sourced taut ash, oak or walnut timber curves, the Urchin is fused by laser cut birch plates to conceal the light bulb within. A small space, ceiling mounted lighting design suited to compact interiors that call back to the ocean.

Soften your space. Create clusters. Draw the eye.

Eva ★★★★★

We hung this in the hallway and the wooden strips cast such a soft, layered glow—completely changes the mood of the space. It looks even better in person than in the photos, the way the light peeks through every gap. Minor assembly took a few extra minutes, but totally worth it for the organic look.

Nicholas ★★★★★

The way the warm light filters through those curved wooden strips creates such a cozy, organic glow in our dining nook. It’s mesmerizing to watch the shadows shift as you walk past, exactly the kind of atmosphere I was hoping for.

Edward ★★★★★

I hung this in my hallway and the light it throws through the wood strips makes the whole space feel warmer at night. It's a decent size for a small room, not bulky at all once it's up against the ceiling.
